"Kai" Tai Kevin Qiu, MD

is a first-generation Chinese-Canadian, an emotional intelligence, relationship communication, and healing coach specializing in helping adult children raised by emotionally immature parents. With a unique background that includes graduating medical school and a personal journey of prioritizing mental health and self-discovery, Kai offers a compassionate yet practical approach to coaching. He helps clients cultivate emotional intelligence, build healthy relationships, and navigate the complexities of attachment styles, boundary-setting, and inner child healing.

His journey from medicine to coaching was born out of a deep desire to support others in finding freedom from their past and breaking intergenerational patterns of emotional immaturity. Kai’s approach is informed by his understanding of Western psychology and Eastern philosophies, including Tibetan Buddhism, which allows him to bring a balanced and holistic perspective to each client’s growth process. He guides clients toward a deeper understanding of themselves, helping them transform feelings of frustration, resentment, and confusion into clarity, resilience, and empowerment.

Kai works with diverse clients, ranging from busy professionals in their late 20s and 30s—such as academics, doctors, lawyers, and tech industry leaders—to individuals in their 50s who are navigating challenging family dynamics with elderly parents. Whether through one-on-one coaching, workshops, or online courses, he is dedicated to helping his clients become confident and skilled in setting boundaries and communicating authentically.
